Facts

Robert Griffin III, Quarterback, Washington Redskins

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Pro Bowl; Offensive Rookie of the Year

One of the most heralded offensive forces to recently enter the NFL, “RGIII” ended up in Washington after a pre-Draft picks trade between the Rams and the Redskins, enabling the ‘Skins to acquire Griffin with the Second overall Draft choice. Not to be confused with the other Robert Griffin – an offensive guard – RGIII was named Offensive Player of the Week after a win in his debut against the Saints, marking it as the first time such an honor was given to a rookie.
The Japan-born Griffin joined select company in a November, 2012 game against the Eagles when he became the 47 QB to ever have a ‘perfect game’ – finishing with a perfect QB Rating of 158.3 in only his 10th career start. Griffin has been so successful in besting his NFC East rivals that some fans in Philadelphia publicly turned to a Higher Authority to help the Eagles when it plays the Redskins.
