Facts
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: 8 Pro Bowl selections; 5-time All Pro; 2-time Super Bowl winner; Joe Greene Great Performance Award; NFL All Decade Team (2000); Steelers MVP; Defensive Player of the Year; Madden 10 Cover Athlete; NFL Alumni Player of the Year

Considered by many to be one of the best safeties to ever play in the NFL, Polamalu almost never made it to Pittsburgh. The Steelers had its sights set on a Free Agent safety who backed out of a deal after a verbal agreement with the team. Only then did Pittsburgh draft TP, becoming the only safety ever drafted by the Steelers in the first round.

Polamalu has over 30 career interceptions with the Steelers and has a reputation for being a high-flying risk taker, tracking balls thrown his way with his signature long hair flying in his wake. In 2010, NFLShop.com reported his #43 jersey being the Number One selling jersey in the NFL.
